Hands up who does not like the GYM!

I am not going to lie..  

I hate to exercise, the thought of getting hot & sweaty turns me off.  

Don’t get me wrong, I wish I was motivated, and I have done it in the past, but I realised about 4 years ago that I am not interested in over-exerting myself.  

Sorry to my Personal Training friends!! ? 

But I have to be honest and say, I just don’t want to do that anymore!! 

I am nearly 50, and even though I know that I need to exercise, I do not want to be lifting crazy heavy weights or crawling on the ground or even trying to touch my toes in a very uncomfortable position.  

OK OK... yes I know that I cannot just sit back and do NOTHING!!! 

And there is lots of data showing that exercise is extremely important, especially for ageing women, as we need it for our cardiovascular health, to manage our weight, and for our mental wellbeing.  

Now before you think that I am LAZY, the truth is, I actually do exercise everyday! 

Walking is what I love to do the most.  

There is nothing like a Mindful Walk with my dog, it is what keeps me grounded. If I miss a day, then watch out, as I can get a little grumpy as I find it so good for my mental health.  

And then of course there is Mindful Movements.  

Three times a week, I run classes, and of course, I use some of the exercises as part of my daily routine.  

Mindful Movements is perfect for women like me who do not enjoy exercise, know they need to exercise, but are looking for something that is low impact, fun and good for their physical and mental wellbeing.  

So what is Mindful Movements??

It is an easy, natural and effective exercise program.  

There is currently nothing like it available as it combines interactive modalities that allow attendees to get actively motivated, have fun and unwind. 

It combines:  
Qigong: Slow purposeful movements to freely move the body.    
Shaking Yoga: A fun way to increase your heart rate, and to “shake/dance” off any tension in your body!    
Meditation: Relax & Reset  

The class is fun, relaxing and most of the class is done while standing. The exercises are low impact, and there are no uncomfortable positions. 

Did I mention that we do dancing in the class as well, get ready for some 80's MUSIC!

I truly love sharing the classes, the women who attend are loving them, and best of all we are building connections and offering supportive encouragement to each other.  

The feedback I have been getting from my clients is how they have noticed incredible changes in their self-esteem, they feel more grounded and confident.  

 What makes me even more proud is when my clients have said that not only noticed changes in their physical health but also in their mental health. Many have noticed that have been able to use some of the exercise to support their anxiety and depression. This is what makes me continue on my journey, to help more women. Women like me who struggled with mental health, or who are feeling lost and have lost their confidence.  

The truth is, Mindful Movements is more than just an exercise class.
