Benefits of Meditation? 

The benefits of meditation are well known, and studies have found that by practicing meditation can help reduce hypertension. (stress)

Meditation improves self-image and self-worth. When we meditate, we get a clear picture of our mind and become aware of the thoughts that drive our emotions and actions.

Meditation can help you:

  • Reduce Stress and Anxiety. ...
  • Increase Mental Clarity and Focus. ...
  • Emotional Intelligence. ...

Meditation is a personal journey there is no right or wrong time or place to meditate. It can be as simple, or as long as an hour spent in deep meditation. 

Quick techniques for meditation..

1. Sit or lie comfortably. If you are sitting, place your feet on the floor.

2. Close your eyes. ...

3. Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhale and exhale.

4. Remove any thoughts from your mind

You can meditate with music, sitting in a quiet room or in nature.

Personally I like to just sit quietly and remove any thoughts that enter my mind to let my brain completely slow down.

I will be honest, I struggle to do more than 10 minutes of quiet meditation. There are friends of mine who’s morning routine start with an hour of meditation. That takes dedication and patience, this is something that I am working towards.

At night I have a guided sleeping meditation that I listen to, this really helps to switch off my thoughts and go into a deep sleep.
